On the 18th May 2019, we arranged for 25 children from Baphumelele to join us at the V & A Waterfront where each child spent the morning painting their own blank canvas at the Art Jamming studio. They got to chose their paints and brushes and could take their paintings home with them. After unleashing their creativity we all headed for lunch at the Spur, where we enjoyed burgers, chips and ice creams – and even had a little dance party! The children were extremely curious at the V &A Waterfront and loved to see the ocean – which a few called a big swimming pool! Their eyes were big and they seemed in awe at the wonder of this beautiful city we live in. A completely new, fun and positive experience for these kids. Their smiles were huge and I can proudly say – we made their day!
