On Saturday 5 December 2020 we sponsored the Ukhozi Girls’ Annual Year End Event aptly named the “Power of Sisterhood Lunch”. Sponsorship included venue hire, decor, lunch, gifts and a motivational speaker. What a fabulous day! 65 of the girls attended all bringing a lot of enthusiasm and positivity. They shared their thoughts of what it means to be part of a group like this – and you can clearly see the support and love they have for one another – always encouraging and believing in one another. This group continue to meet every month, to learn and better themselves – and how we have seen them grow!

Our motivational speaker Ondela Mhlandu inspired us all. She is a young multimedia journalist who is self-aware and conscientious. She has written for powerhouse publications such as True Love Magazine, Getaway Magazine, Mail and Guardian, and Women’s Health South Africa. She is the brains behind an online website that motivates young female South African entrepreneurs called Go Hustle and is also part of the World Economic Forum’s initiative for outstanding, young working professionals, called the Global Shapers Community. We were thrilled to have her talk to the girls, during which covered a wide range of topics from networking, travel, manifesting, everyday opportunities, the power of education, and of course… relationships!
